On September 23rd, 2017 from 9:30am to 4:30pm, The RoboBees were at Historic St. Mary’s City near the water next to the Dove Ship. The team acting as volunteers for the event, helping out with multiple areas and stations. One such area was the kayak launch, where The RoboBees aided launching, and pulling kayaks in and out of the St. Mary’s River. RoboBees assisted in signing up the kayakers, and assisted getting life jackets on, and the right size paddle.
To make sure kayakers did not go to far out in the River, we had RoboBees volunteers out on kayaks, making sure conditions were safe. In the Riverfest tent, RoboBees students assisted in face, pumpkin, and oyster painting stations. At the event we had a DJI 3 Pro drone, that people of all ages could watch the drones footage over Historic St Mary’s.
