The Hive has moved

Team 836 The RoboBees has found a new home thanks to the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Stachelczyk, and Mr. Wayne Boothe of Boothe’s Heating and Air. Our building, appropriately named The Stachelczyk S.T.E.M. Center, located at 43883 Airport View Drive Hollywood, Maryland will also serve to hold various STEM activities later in the year after our busy build and competition season.

It was a bittersweet parting of ways with St. Mary’s County Public Schools and the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center where The RoboBees had called home for almost 15 years. While it was beneficial to be under the auspice of SMCPS, access times and policies began to change, along with the needs of our team.  Therefore, we all decided mutually that it would be in the best interest of all parties if our team found a new location that gave us the access needed for building, testing, and practicing with our robot for competition.  Although we face new challenges with this new location, we embrace them and, as a team, this Hive will Thrive.
