On Tuesday May 30th, growingSTEMS and The RoboBees are holding open enrollment for the 2017-2018 season. New teams are forming at all levels and opportunities are abundant. Opportunities include programming, electronics, mechanical design, photography / video, public relations, business and STEM outreach.
There are numerous benefits of participating on one of our competition teams, including but not limited to:
- $50 Million in scholarships available to only students who participate in FIRST programs
- Learn to work in teams
- Apply engineering, business, photography / video concepts to overcome the challenges presented
- Utilize hands on skills to take projects from concept to completion
Teams Available:
- FIRST Lego League (4th to 7th Grade)
- FIRST Tech Challenge (8th to 10th Grade)
- FIRST Robotics Challenge (10th to 12th Grade)
Open enrollment is on Tuesday, May 30th from 6-9pm at The Stachelczyk STEM Center (43883 Airport View Dr. Hollywood, MD 20636).
- 4th to 7th grade: 6-6:45pm
- 8th to 12th grade: 7-9pm
