growingSTEMS Formalizes Relationship with NAWCAD

    On August 7th, 2019 growingSTEMS entered into an educational partnership agreement with Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). This agreement formalizes the existing relationship and increases the opportunities available for future collaboration.

    NAWCAD is a subordinate command of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).  With more than 13,000 scientists, engineers, and test professionals across four sites. NAWCAD conducts research, development, test, and evaluation activities that support Navy and Marine Corp air vehicles and support systems. By providing technical support to NAVAIR, NAWCAD has a tremendously positive impact on the safety and mission effectives of our aviators and sailors who support the naval aviation mission.

    growingSTEMS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on improving science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education in our community. We are dedicated to giving people the ability to impact the next generation of STEM workforce through fun, engaging, and accessible opportunities. From our award-winning robotics teams to our engaging summer camps, we strive to shape the future of the STEM workforce and encourage local professionals to give back to our community.

    This agreement will provide substantial benefits to both organizations. Partnership with growingSTEMS will provide NAWCAD with enhanced workforce development opportunities and the opportunity for NAWCAD employees to contribute to the community. Likewise, this partnership will provide growingSTEMS with access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, as well as many talented experts in a variety of STEM fields. Furthermore, this agreement will open up many future opportunities for collaboration.
