Team Honey Cracked Is Going to the Robot Rampage World Cup!
Team Honey Cracked has been invited to represent the United States at the Robot Rampage World Cup in Auckland, New Zealand!
This world-cup-style combat robotics competition will bring teams from around the world together to compete on an international stage. Out of the many combat robotics teams across the United States, Honey Cracked will be fielding one of only 10 robots selected to represent Team USA.
For our team, this is about much more than a competition.
An Education-Based Team Representing the USA
Team Honey Cracked is the only education-based team on Team USA through growingSTEMS. Our team brings together high school students, college students, and young adult mentors who have developed their skills through hands-on experience in robotics, engineering, design, fabrication, and competition.
The Robot Rampage World Cup gives our members an incredible opportunity to put those skills to the test on an international stage.
Our team will get to compete alongside builders from around the world, exchange ideas with the international combat robotics community, and showcase what can be accomplished through hands-on STEM education.
Most importantly, we get to represent Maryland, growingSTEMS, and the United States while doing something we love.
Help Us Get to New Zealand
While this opportunity is incredibly exciting, getting our team and robot to Auckland comes with a significant cost.
We are working to raise $26,000 to allow up to 10 members of Team Honey Cracked to travel to New Zealand and compete.
Our estimated expenses include:
- Approximately $2,000 per person for airfare
- $4,000–$6,000 for accommodations and living expenses during our week-and-a-half stay
- Transportation and other costs associated with competing internationally
