Combat Robotics

growingSTEMS offers three separate Combat Robotics opportunities. Between weekend summer camps, a 1lb weight class local competition, and a travel team consisting of 3lb, 12lb, and 30lb combat robots, growingSTEMS has a lot to offer!

growingSTEMS is happy to offer a Combat Robotics summer camp focused around Termite Class Combat Robots! Competitors in grades 3-5th are able to participate in a 2-day camp. Each camp will run on Saturday and Sunday, 10-3PM each day.

Camp sessions will be available for the following dates:  June 8-9th, July 27-28th, August 24-25th, and September 7-8th 2024. There will be 12 slots per camp, so register early to ensure you’re able to compete!

Competitors have the opportunity to participate in an Ant Weight Combat Robotics Competition! Those participating in the program will receive an Ant Weight kit (detailed below) and gain access to The Hive for use once a week.

Program Mentors will be on hand to provide guidance, technical direction, and tool/machine training during our Combat Robotics meetings. The season ends with a culminating Combat event where everyone will compete to claim the Tiny Nut!

growingSTEMS hosts Team Honey Cracked – an invitation-only travel team which competes in National Havoc Robot League (NHRL) events and others throughout the US.
