Community Robotics Programs
As growingSTEMS, we are developing the next generation of problem-solvers through the application of interactive lessons, community based robotics programs, and encouraging students to excel in STEM. We know the next generation will succeed through a combination of inspiration, creativity, and technical expertise, which is why we foster an appreciation for STEM, as well as the arts, through our programs.

Termite Class – Combat Robot Summer Camp
growingSTEMS is happy to offer a Combat Robotics summer camp focused around Termite Class Combat Robots! Competitors in grades 3-5th are able to participate in this 2-day camp. Each camp will run on Saturday and Sunday, 10-3PM each day.
Camp sessions will be available for the following dates: June 8-9th, July 27-28th, August 24-25th, and September 7-8th 2024. There will be 12 slots per camp and each camp will be limited to 3 of each robot design.
2024 Summer Programs
growingSTEMS is happy to announce our summer programs for 2024! This summer two different Combat Robotics programs be offered for new and returning students.
Registrations for both options are now open! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns and we hope to see you this summer!
Private Tour Series
growingSTEMS understands that everyone’s schedules are busy, especially during the summer months and it’s hard to attend a single day event. In an effort to help alleviate some schedule concerns, we are happy to offer private tours of The Hive throughout the year.

The RoboBees attended the FIRST Robotics Northern Maryland District event in Owings Mills, Maryland on March 17-19. There were 39 teams in attendance and each were scheduled in 17 qualifying matches for a total of 78 matches. Team 836, The RoboBees, attended the FIRST Southwest Virginia District event which was held during week one of the competitive season. A total of 38 teams competed at the event held at Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, Virginia on March 3-5.
